Headphones That Suit You
In-Ear Headphones
In-ear headphones are headphones that sit inside your ear canal. Sports headphones typically fall into this category. Most come with foam or rubber buds in different sizes for a comfortable but secure fit to avoid them falling out during exercise or movement. In-ear headphones are usually great for noise isolation, and many professional/high-end in-ear headphones have greater sound quality than many larger headphones.
Over-Ear Headphones
Also known as 'full size' headphones, over-ear headphones cover the entire ear with a cushioned earcup. They usually deliver better sound quality than most other style of headphones and are great for noise isolation. Higher-end models are typically more comfortable to wear and are adjustable.
Wired Headphones
Wired headphones connect to your music device i.e. iPod, iPhone, MP3 Player via an AUX cord. This means they do not require batteries and sometimes improved sound quality. Some wired headphones have reflective cords for visibility while walking at night/in the dark. The disadvantage of wired headphones are tangling and the possibility of the wire breaking. However, some wired headphones, such as our Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones, consists of a final layer of braided nylon for tangle resistance.
Wireless Headphones
Wireless headphones do not require a cable and are often operated by Bluetooth - this makes them great for outdoor use and exercise. There are other types of wireless technology too, but Bluetooth is the most popular due to it's reliability - most smartphones and other communication devices come with Bluetooth. Wireless headphones, however, do need to be charged or may require batteries.
